April Newsletter
The countdown is on. It’s less than six months until Lynda Randle is with us again for her 2019 concert tour in Northern Ireland. NSC are looking forward to her visit.
Lynda will be performing a two night concert tour in Switzerland before arriving here in Northern Ireland and then move on to Norway for two more concerts. So, it will be a busy two weeks for her and the team and many hours of planning to ensure all goes to plan. Part of that forward planning is shipping Lynda’s books and CDs to all concert venues for concert goers to purchase.
For those who follow our monthly Newsletters you will know that we have been featuring different singers and groups who are supporting Lynda at the Northern Ireland concerts. NSC like to give our local singers the opportunity to support artists like Lynda. This month we feature the brilliant Whitewell Choir and we are delighted to have this fantastic choir as part of the Lynda Randle programme.
The Choir under the direction of Mr Tom Patterson and was formed when the Metropolitan Church moved to the present new church building in 1994 in Belfast. At its peak there were over 200 people in the choir and is still the leading church choir in Northern Ireland.
Despite the emergence of contemporary worship choirs, the Whitewell choir has stayed faithful to traditional hymns but incorporates modern sacred songs. The Whitewell choir has, over the years, supported the best in Gospel singers from all over the world including the Gaither Homecoming series when they visited Belfast for a concert. A video for world-wide distribution was made of that concert and Lynda Randle was also part of that event.
Lynda Randle is delighted to be supported again by this prestigious choir and we know all those who can attend the Armagh concert, when the choir will be singing, will be truly blessed by their ministry in song where they will accompany Lynda for songs like ‘God of the Mountain’.
Our advertising campaign for Mothers’ Day was a great success with purchases made online and at the various Faith Mission outlets across Northern Ireland. We encourage all who purchased tickets to get in touch on 07774 343 005 to avail of the complementary reserved seating.
Hope you all have a very blessed and happy Easter. It’s the time of year when we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a hope we have in Him. As it says in 1 Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Isn’t it a powerful thought to know that we serve and worship a risen Saviour!!
